Pushover/a doormat- She does anything that you tell her to do. Even though she does it with pleasure, there are times she would like to say no but never does so. Mostly ignored by her peers, she is only approached if they want her to do work; this benefited Kiyoko in not getting bullied during her school years because if she was, her classmates feared she wouldn’t help them. In a discussion, she easily gives up and goes with what the other person wants. Her biggest fear being losing those closest to her,

Low Self-esteem- She’s very modest and always dresses in large clothing to hide herself so others won’t care to bother with her. Has a bad habit of stuttering or going having her voice squeak when she gets nervous. Even after doing a good job, she never rewards herself as she fears being selfish if she does so. She believes that she will never achieve much no matter how much she tries as she blames the death of her brothers on her incompetence.

Benevolent-Despite being a doormat, she never holds grudges and always wears a warm smile, afraid she may lose those closest to her. She loves to help others and puts other people’s happiness before hers. Most of her choices are acted upon that belief. She will always listen to what anyone has to say and try to help as much as she can to avoid any mishappenings. Even when it is not her fault, she apologizes.

Innocent-On the inside she is still quite the child as she prefers to be outside than behind a computer. Very inexperienced with subjects such as love, she is easily flustered and doesn’t understand most of the more grown-up terms.
Simple-She is a very simple girl, never trying to stand out, dressing in very casual clothing that is mostly second hand, or wanting anything special. She is not overly talented in any subject.

Worrywart- Even if it’s not her business, she becomes very worried and places other people’s problems as her responsibility. Whether its health wise or academic, she gets stressed and will try to intervene by helping, usually failing. This may come off to some as her being nosy. She is also a stress case with her friends becoming clingy as she fears something may happen to them.

Sensitive- Ever since her brothers’ death, she has become much more sensitive to remarks. Even though she hides it, everything is taken literally. She easily cries and is homesick most of the time; any topics about home or family stir up these negative emotions within her.

Bio: Kiyoko was born in a well earning family with her father being a doctor and her mother being a preschool teacher. Her family was known for their hospitality in the area, earning great respect. Three years later, her twin brothers were born bringing great joy to the family.
Her personality derived from both her parents who lived a simple lifestyle. Kiyoko had never owned any new technologies and would always spend her time outside chasing stray animals and climbing trees. During elementary, her days were bright and filled with adventure.
A lot of stress was put on her shoulders when she went through middle school as she tried her best to impress her parents and to retain the reputation of her family. She started accepting any work that her peers asked her to do piling up on thing to complete. Bullying was a large part of this public school which had scared her parents. Kiyoko insisted on continuing to attend as it was a convenient distance from their house and assured them she was not a target due to helping everyone. The only time she could relax was at home with her brothers who were both then currently diagnosed with cancer.

Every spare moment she had she would take her brothers outside for them to see the world and not give up hope. Her father spent many months working nonstop trying to cure his sons causing several small fights to arise between him and his wife. With all this happening at home, Kiyoko spent no time socializing, never developing any friends. She would sit alone at lunch time or be scouted by her classmates to do their chores. After two years of struggling, both her brothers passed away from their disease. The family was devastated but knew that they would need to be even more loving with each other and to continue helping those in need. The problems between both her mother and her father resolved quickly as Kiyoko became their top priority; the whole family still had the lingering feeling of regret.

Upon entering high school, Kiyoko focused her studies in math and science as she planned to become a doctor who would help many cancer patients since she failed to do so with her brothers. Her family fully supported her and invested a lot of money in cram schools so her grades would improve. Both her mother and father also became very protective over Kiyoko since her brothers passing prohibiting her from attending many social events. However, she did manage to make two dear friends who had her back and often visited her to help her with her studies. Her attachment to them was immense causing her to become clingy and very dependent on others. These years were enlightening to Kiyoko as it gave her strength to pursue her dreams.
Graduating from high school, Kiyoko researched and decided to apply to Kamenoko University. Sadly, it was located in the city while they lived in the countryside. Her father insisted on waiting another year as he went to apply for a job transfer. Kiyoko was relieved that her parents would be coming. The job transfer was denied and Kiyoko was at a loss of words. Disappointed, Kiyoko continued her studies at home and started to lose hope of ever going into her dream university. Their daughter’s discontent initiated a deep discussion between her parents.

Months later, after her parents had conversed with a friend living in the city, they confessed to Kiyoko about their plan of sending her to live with that colleague of theirs. Kiyoko was shocked and denied their offer at first, not wanting to leave her parents behind. Her parents insisted even though it was an excruciating decision. After some arguing, Kiyoko gave into their idea and took off towards Kamenoko University.

•Loves any kind of dumplings.
•The family that she will be living with contains a single mother and a pair of siblings (one boy and one girl) who attend high school.
•Has no fashion sense and will be seen mostly wearing large clothing such as sweaters or hoodies.
•Still enjoys petting and caring for strays and occasionally, when no one’s around, climbing trees to get a better view.
•Has a tendency to be very apologetic which may get on peoples nerves.
•Has an immense dislike for bad choices that affect health and academics (drinking, smoking, fights etc.)
•Regularly checks up on her parents, as she is always feeling homesick and misses them dearly, through postcards as she’s reluctant to use email of a cell phone.
